Bush Doctrine - In What Respect Charlie?

No one can complain that Charlie Gibson threw "soft-ball" questions at Palin.  I think, overall, the questions were tough and she navigated through them, including the Bush Doctrine "gotcha" questions, without setting off any land minds. She answered directly with confidence and without hesitation.

Many in the early morning news shows, today, have tried to mock her "in what respect"  answer back to Charlie, on the Bush Doctrine, as trying to camouflage her lack of knowledge. According to wikipedia:

"The Bush Doctrine is a phrase used to describe various related foreign policy principles of United States president George W. Bush, created in the wake of the September 11, 2001 attacks.  The phrase initially described the policy that the United States had the right to treat countries that harbor or give aid to terrorist groups as terrorist themselves..." http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bush_Doctrine

So her response to Charlie’s "in what respect" was totally appropriate, as the Bush Doctrine embodies multiple policies, including but not solely preemptive strike. When Charlie specifically asked her about her stance on preemptive strike, she did not hesitate to give her straightforeward answer.
