Bush Doctrine - In What Respect Charlie?

No one can complain that Charlie Gibson threw "soft-ball" questions at Palin.  I think, overall, the questions were tough and she navigated through them, including the Bush Doctrine "gotcha" questions, without setting off any land minds. She answered directly with confidence and without hesitation.

Many in the early morning news shows, today, have tried to mock her "in what respect"  answer back to Charlie, on the Bush Doctrine, as trying to camouflage her lack of knowledge. According to wikipedia:

"The Bush Doctrine is a phrase used to describe various related foreign policy principles of United States president George W. Bush, created in the wake of the September 11, 2001 attacks.  The phrase initially described the policy that the United States had the right to treat countries that harbor or give aid to terrorist groups as terrorist themselves..." http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bush_Doctrine

So her response to Charlie’s "in what respect" was totally appropriate, as the Bush Doctrine embodies multiple policies, including but not solely preemptive strike. When Charlie specifically asked her about her stance on preemptive strike, she did not hesitate to give her straightforeward answer.

A Community Organizer With A "Suit" is Still a...

Community Organizer...Is Obama so naive to think that the American  public was not going to make the link between his "lipstick" reference and Gov. Sarah Palin?  Or did his campaign strategists think that they are so smart, that by cloaking the "lipstick" message was not going to back fire?

So, a Community Organizer with a GQ suit is still a Community Organizer.  Obama has sunk to a new low level and he is having a hard time recovering. Does he have the fire in the belly to be President? Based on his delayed reactions and misguided actions, it appears he does not?

Politics and Presidential Campaigns for that matter, is not for the Faint of Heart!

Sarah: Our American Princess!

The meaning of the name Sarah, of Hebrew origins, is "Princess", "Princess of the Multitude".
Last night, Sarah endeared herself to the whole world. Just like Princess Dianna did, when she was introduced in the World’s stage years ago.  She showed the world and the Royal Establishment that she had more to offer than just a pretty face. Not only did Sarah show that she is "the Real Deal" but that she is her own woman. That she stands firmly on her principles and convictions and knows who she is and is not in a journey to self-discovery.

Her genuine transparency, her hands-on and roll-up-your sleeves attitude and experience shined through.  Her communication style, her grace, warmth, honesty and real person connection was reminiscent of Ronald Regan coupled with a balanced "soft" and "tough" and witty at times approach reminiscent of the "Iron Lady", Margaret Thatcher.

This woman has it all! She will put votes on the board and the Democrats know this.  This is just what America needs in tough times.  America's BEST days lie ahead and McCain and Palin will deliver for us!

Surprise, Surprise - Media Circus

The bias Media was so caught off guard with Palin's nomination that the fact that they weren't able to call it has thrown them off balance and they are lashing out and want to penalize McCain/Palin for it. The media circus started last Friday morning when, from 6am to 10am, the Media ran around in circles.

What an expectacle this was! Running around like a chickens with their head cut off, the likes of Andrea Mitchell, etc. tried unsuccessfully to piece together various "reliable" sources and reports as to who the potential nominee would be. First, it was the charter plane from Alaska, then that there would be a talent show in Ohio, then Gov. Pawlenty was crossed off, then Romney was in Ohio, then he wasn't, then Gov. Palin was in Ohio, then she wasn't. It wasn't until 11am on Friday, that the real nominee was known.

Well, now we know why the media is being so vindictive. They were ridiculed. For once they had no clue! This was one for the history books!
